Morriah Horani attended Brown University where she studied Public Policy and American Institutions and trained as a Writing and Rhetoric Fellow. At the University of Maryland School of Law she earned a Certificate in Health Law from the Law and Health Care Program and was named a Rose Zetzer Fellow in the Women, Leadership, and Equality Program.

Ms. Horani has worked as an editor for a variety of science and technology publications, and has edited publications that have appeared in periodicals such as IEEE Transactions of Visualization and Computer Graphics, Science Spectrum magazine, and Hispanic Engineer and Information Technology magazine.

In the 2006-2007 term, Ms. Horani was law clerk to the Honorable Thomas E. Marshall of Harford County Circuit Court and assisted the judge with family, real estate, criminal, and contract cases. She also served the bench as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children from 2005-2007.

True to her Oklahoman roots, Ms. Horani appreciates open spaces and loves animals. She is a competitive tennis player, documentary enthusiast, and science aficionada.
