Anne W. Coventry
Principal
Ms. Coventry’s practice focuses on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. Her expertise includes federal transfer tax matters related to transfer of ownership, entity selection and formation, trust arrangements, and closely held business planning, as well as estate and trust administration. Ms. Coventry also specializes in planning with qualified retirement assets and deferred compensation, charitable entities, life insurance, and educational savings plans, and she has lectured on 529 plans, planned charitable giving, and the use of split-interest techniques to minimize transfer taxes.
Ms. Coventry joined the firm in 2007, after practicing with Kozusko Harris Vetter Wareh LLP in Washington, DC. She began her legal career with Arnold & Porter LLP’s Tax and Estates group in Washington, and has also practiced in the Private Client group at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, working in both the Chicago and Washington offices.
An avid patron of the visual and performing arts, Ms. Coventry serves on the Board of Directors of Friends of Fillmore Arts Center in Washington and for American Dance Institute in Rockville.
