Vicki Viramontes-LaFree
Principal
Vicki Viramontes-LaFree handles all aspects of divorce and family law, including resolution of property, support and child issues. She has a special interest in division of retirement benefits at divorce, including military, federal government and international organization plans.
Ms. Viramontes-LaFree joined the firm as an associate in September 2001 after relocating from New Mexico. In January 2005 the firm promoted her to principal.
Ms. Viramontes-LaFree is an experienced and effective negotiator. She uses these skills to resolve family disputes through settlement whenever possible. She is trained in collaborative law. In collaborative law parties participate in meetings together with counsel to share information, identify problems and brainstorm their way to solutions. Ms. Viramontes-LaFree is also active as a leader in collaborative law groups to further the movement to bring this fresh approach to resolution to as many clients as can benefit from it.
Prior to joining Pasternak & Fidis, Ms. Viramontes-LaFree was a sole practitioner in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A native of New Mexico, she enjoys traveling, particularly in Europe, movies, and listening to blues and jazz.
